Why K and K Construction for Interior Services in Massillon, OH
Interior Services Ohio.
Every surface. Every room. Every finish — right.

K and K Construction delivers complete interior services — drywall, texturing, painting, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, carpentry, closets, and more — under one roof, from one trusted contractor across Northeast Ohio.
One Contractor.
Every Interior.
The full K and K Construction interior service — Massillon to Cleveland.
Most homeowners don't want to manage five different contractors for an interior renovation. They want one crew they can trust to handle everything — from bare framing to painted, furnished, finished rooms. K and K Construction is that crew for Northeast Ohio homeowners.
We've been building and finishing interiors across Massillon, Canton, Akron, and the Cleveland metro for over 25 years. That experience translates to better project coordination, fewer scheduling conflicts between trades, and a single point of accountability when something needs to be addressed.
Every service listed on this page is performed by K and K Construction's own crew — not subcontractors. We size materials correctly, work to Ohio building code, and don't cut corners because our reputation depends on every room we leave behind.

By Ohio's own.

One Crew.
Full Trust.
What sets us apart in Ohio.
We've been doing interior work in Ohio homes since before most of our competitors existed. Here's why Massillon homeowners keep coming back — and referring their neighbors.
The K and K Construction crew that shows up to quote is the crew that does the work. Every single time. Your project doesn't get handed off to whoever's available.
25 years of working in Ohio's specific climate means we understand how humidity, freeze-thaw cycles, and seasonal extremes affect every interior material and product we install.
When one contractor handles multiple trades, the schedule runs tighter. No waiting for the next guy. No gaps between framing and drywall, or drywall and paint. One call gets it all moving.
Fully licensed in Ohio with general liability and workers' comp. Every estimate is written, itemized, and covers everything — no vague ranges, no mystery charges at invoice time.
How Every
K and K Project Works
From the first call to the final walkthrough — a consistent, disciplined process on every interior project K and K Construction takes on in Northeast Ohio.
We visit the space, understand the scope, assess existing conditions, and ask the questions that prevent surprises later.
A detailed written quote covering materials, labor, and timeline. Real numbers, not ranges. Signed before any work starts.
We lay out the correct trade sequence so each phase follows the last without rework — framing before drywall before texture before paint.
Our crew works clean, communicates daily, and respects your home. Dust managed, site tidied at end of every workday.
We inspect every surface and detail with you before considering a project complete. Any outstanding items resolved before we leave.
Interior Work
Built for Ohio
Northeast Ohio's housing stock spans nearly a century of construction styles — from plaster-walled 1920s craftsman bungalows in Massillon's historic neighborhoods to open-plan 2000s builds in Jackson Township. K and K Construction's interior crew has worked in all of it. We know how to match plaster edges, how to handle Ohio's freeze-thaw effect on drywall fasteners, and how to work efficiently in occupied homes without disrupting daily life.
Interior projects in our region also require awareness of insulation and energy performance — Ohio's winters are serious, and every interior project is an opportunity to improve thermal performance if the walls are open. K and K Construction factors this into every relevant project automatically.
We serve homeowners across Stark, Summit, and Cuyahoga Counties — from single-room refreshes to whole-house renovations. The same crew, the same standard, the same honest process everywhere we work.

Why One Contractor for All Interior Work Makes Sense
Most remodeling headaches come from the same source: too many contractors, none of them talking to each other. The painter shows up before the drywall is dry. The flooring crew arrives before trim is set. Someone damages someone else's finished work, and accountability evaporates instantly.
K&K Construction handles every interior trade in-house across Massillon and Stark County. That means our drywall crew hands off directly to our flooring crew. Our cabinet installers know exactly what the floor finish is before they set a single cabinet. Our painters go last — after trim, after doors, after every surface is ready — because that's the sequence that produces a clean result.
Single point of contact. Single schedule. Single warranty. Whether your project is a bathroom remodel, a basement finish, or a full interior renovation, you're working with one contractor who owns every trade from start to finish.
- Scheduling conflicts between trades
- No one owns the sequence
- Accountability gaps on damage
- You manage the coordination
- Delays compound across trades
- Multiple warranties, multiple contacts
- Trades sequenced in-house
- Single project manager owns all
- Clear accountability throughout
- We manage the coordination
- One schedule, one timeline
- Single warranty, one call
Our Interior Work Process
Every K&K interior project follows the same sequence — because sequence is what determines quality. Here's what to expect from first call to final walkthrough.
Consultation & Estimate
We walk the space with you, understand your goals, and build a detailed written estimate. No vague line items — you'll know what you're paying for before anything starts. Applicable whether you're planning a closet system or a full floor renovation.
Demo (If Required)
Controlled demolition of what's coming out — protecting what stays. Debris removed, surfaces assessed, and any hidden conditions documented before the rebuild begins.
Rough Work — Framing, Plumbing & Electrical
New framing, plumbing rough-in, and electrical rough-in are completed and inspected before any walls close. This is the work that's invisible in the finished product — and the work that matters most long-term.
Drywall
Drywall installation, taping, mudding, and finish coats. Walls are flat, smooth, and fully cured before flooring goes down — this sequence matters.
Flooring
Subfloor prep, then flooring installation. Flooring is set before cabinetry and trim so everything can be scribed and fitted properly against a finished floor surface.
Cabinetry & Built-Ins
Cabinet installation happens after flooring — so cabinets sit on the finished floor, doors align correctly, and scribing is clean. Closet and storage systems are installed at this stage too.
Trim & Doors
Baseboard, casing, crown, and door hardware are set once flooring, cabinets, and walls are complete. Trim installed in proper sequence sits flush without gaps — trim installed too early does not.
Paint
Interior painting is the last trade on site — after every other surface is set, patched, and ready. Paint applied last means no scuffs, no overspray on trim, no touch-up after other trades leave.
Final Clean & Walkthrough
We clean the site and walk every item on the punch list with you before we consider the job complete. For bathroom remodels and basement finishes, the walkthrough is also your introduction to the systems and finishes in your new space.
